Hi, I´m Jürgen Pichen. This is my personal Website with some of my information and contact info.
Any questions? Drop me a message!
I have been a research assistant in the Human Factors department at Ulm University since the end of 2016. I am working on my PhD in driver-vehicle cooperation in (partially) automated vehicles. Prior, I did my Bachelor’s (B.Sc.) in Human-Computer-Systems, and a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Human-Computer-Interaction, both from the Julius-Maximilian University in Würzburg, Germany. My research interests include innovative interface design, highly automated vehicles, simplification of Human-Computer interaction, UX, and Usability. I possess a solid foundation in programming, with a proven ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts, such as MQTT communication and various APIs. While not an expert programmer, my adaptability and eagerness to learn have enabled me to tackle diverse technical challenges and programming languages effectively. My work experience includes planning and programming smart homes (CASAIO GmbH), student assistance positions in the HCI field, and being a student researcher at the Würzburg Institute for Traffic Science (WIVW). My journey took me to the Human Factors department in Ulm, where I was involved in several national and international research projects, where I planned, implemented, and conducted simulator and real vehicle experiments, as well as proposal writing, and supervising students´ theses. I am also responsible for the Human Factors Lab, have a basic understanding of programming service robots, and am responsible for the lab infrastructure.
